information on battery disposal
The following note is intended for those who use batteries or products with built-in batteries and are no longer reselling them in the form supplied to them (end-user):
1. Free return of used batteries Batteries must not be disposed of via household waste. They are legally obliged to return legacy products, so that proper disposal can be ensured. They can dispose of old batteries at a municipal collection point or in the trade on the spot. We are also obligated as a distributor of batteries to take back old batteries, whereby our obligation to return is limited to old batteries of the kind that we have led or led as new products in our assortment. Old batteries of the above type can therefore either be sent back to us in a sufficiently prepaid form, or they can be delivered free of charge directly at our dispatch warehouse at the following address:

2. Meaning of the battery symbols
Batteries are marked with the symbol of a crossed-out refuse bin (see below). This symbol indicates that batteries must not be disposed of with household waste. In the case of batteries containing more than 0.0005% by weight of mercury, more than 0.002% by mass of cadmium or more than 0.004% by weight of lead, the chemical name of the particular pollutant used under the symbol of the refuse symbol is "Cd" for cadmium, "Pb" stands for lead, and "Hg" for mercury. "
3. Vehicle batteries
In the sale of vehicle batteries (these are batteries which are intended for the starter, the lighting or the ignition of vehicles) the following special features apply: The seller is acc. § 10 BattG obliges an end-user to charge a deposit of EUR 7.50 including VAT if the final user does not return the vehicle to the seller at the time of the purchase of the new vehicle battery. When purchasing a vehicle battery, the customer receives a deposit note. The customer can return the old vehicle battery to the seller for reimbursement of the collected deposit. On the basis of the Dangerous Goods Ordinance, a shipment of the old vehicle battery to the seller is not permitted. Alternatively, the customer can return the old vehicle battery to a return point set up by the public authority disposal body. If the vehicle waste battery is not returned to the seller, the person entitled to collect the goods in accordance with § 11 para. 3, BattG, which withdraws the vehicle waste battery, is obligated to confirm the return to the end-user in writing or electronically. In this case, the customer will be reimbursed by the seller, provided that he submits to the seller a written or electronic proof of return in accordance with § 10 para. 1 sentence 4 of the Federal Act on Battal Products, which is not older than two weeks at the time of submission.
